Created in MATLAB by J. S. Marron and others. These are in MPEG
format. For most people (McIntosh for some time, and more recently
in Microsoft and Unix environments), these should be easily viewable from
your favorite browser. If you have trouble in the Microsoft world,
try downloading version 5 or later of the Microsoft Internet Explorer,
from
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/
(even if you prefer Netscape, this will still get the needed version of
the movie player onto your machine). If none of that works, a good
source of free MPEG Players in lots of environments is the on the Motion
Picture Experts Group web site at: http://www.mpeg.org/MPEG/MPEG-video-player.html.
1. Movies that teach about local polynomial smoothing
by J. S. Marron, D. Ruppert, E. K. Smith and G. Conley.
Here is one frame of one of these movies (but you really should watch
the movie!):

2. Movies showing Functional Data Analysis of Corneal
Images
by N. Locantore, J. S. Marron, D. G. Simpson, N. Tripoli, J. T. Zhang
and K. Cohen
Here is one frame of one of these movies
(but viewing the whole lot is definitely recommended!):

to the movies, related paper, etc.
3. Significance in Scale Space
by F. Godtliebsen, J. S. Marron and P. Chaudhuri.
Here is one frame of one of these movies
(but again don't stop here!):
